Thicker iPad3
iPad 3 Rumors continue to hit the internet. We have discussed several leaks from the supply chain for the iPad 3 the past week. There were leaks of the back component of the iPad 3 and then the actual iPad 3 display. A Chinese tech blog has reportedly received a early production version of the newest iPad. The rumors coming from the tech blog is that the iPad 3 is going to be 1 to 1.5mm thicker then the current iPad 2. It is also reported to have more tapered edges compared to the current iPad model. There are several possible reasons for the increase in thickness compared to the previous iPad model. The most likely is the increase in battery size. An increase in processing power with the inclusion of the Apple A5X coupled with the iPad3 Retina Display would result in some heavy battery consumption.
