As the rumors of the iPad 3 continue, recently fueled by iPad 3 design leaks, the Apple stock price has skyrockets. The stock price ended up 4.5% at $493.17. This is even with protests planned at many Apple facilities due to poor working conditions at many of Apple’s plants. According to the Wall Street Journal the iPad 3 is set to be announced in San Francisco during the first week of March. According to their report it will have a better and higher resolution display.
Apple has two large iDevices, the iPad 3 and iTV, that are reported to be released in 2012. Both are rumored to be revolutionary devices with investors betting on them being huge successes. The iPad 3 rumor mill has been up and down the past year with different iPad specs being reported. We up until a few weeks ago weren’t expecting much from the iPad 3. It appeared the the iPad 3 was going to be a small upgrade comparable to the iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S upgrade.
Recent rumors however have started coming forward suggesting the hype of an upgraded display may in fact be true. A recent leak of the iPad 3 back plate has all but confirmed at least a change in display between the iPad 2 and iPad 3. ABC News and ZDNet are still reporting that Apple may introduce a 7″ iPad. Their recent reports are that it won’t actually be released until some time later this year. This device of course would be made to compete with the wildly successful Amazon Kindle Fire.
Apple has once again managed to create a buzz around a product they have never even officially announced that they were creating.
